GQ002 – Rehab Those Knees!

My biggest issue over the past couple years has been my knees.

When my knees hurt, I do less karate. And, more importantly, when my knees hurt, I avoid exercise.

So – rehab the knees and I can practice more and get in better shape AND lose some weight.

Like I said before, I think my knee problems stem mostly from tightness in the muscles and connective tissue above and below the knees. Over the past couple years, I’ve found a few things that really seem to help. So I’ve decided to try all of those things that I’ve been discovering…

Over the past couple days, I’ve combined everything into a single daily regimen.
(BTW, I’ll discuss this in more detail down the road).

  1. Knead my calves with a massage device called “The Stick”.
  2. Stretch out calves on the stairs
  3. Roll thighs and IT band on a foam roller and on a 2-liter bottle
  4. Stretch for IT band
  5. Quadricep stretch
  6. Groin stretch
  7. Hamstring stretch
  8. Apply glucosamine cream to knees

That’s it. I’ve done this the past couple days and my knees already seem to be improving.
